Camp Katina was founded in 2006 to motivate and inspire young girls of South Florida to be their BEST SELF; Mind, Body and Soul. This non-profit 2-day gymnastics and life skills camp at West Broward Gymnastics Academy in Davie serves over 60 underserved youth of South Florida ages 7-14 annually. The campers come from the Overtown Youth Center, Urban League and Boys and Girls Clubs of Dade and Broward County.
Camp Katina is celebrating 15 years of impacting the South Florida youth. Katina Taylor, the founder and director, focuses on issues of self-esteem, confidence, body image, the importance of physical activity, positive thinking, self love, self acceptance, helping others, mental toughness and more. This camp is a moving experience for all that are involved and witness it. The love and joy felt in this camp is electric. The camp concludes with a dance performance and awards ceremony. The Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders along with Katina’s brother, Miami Dolphin NFL All-Pro, Zach Thomas are amongst many cheering on the campers.

2009-2011
Spinathon & Cardio Camp for Kids
Camp Katina held it’s Spinathon and Cardio Camp for Kids at Midtown Athletic Club in Weston. This fundraiser and cardio camp was a fun way to get families involved in giving back to charity and getting their families physically active. The adult 2-hour spin-a-thon was held while all the children rotated through cardio drills, relay games, dancing, basketball and more in Midtown’s state of the art facilities.

GET ACTIVE Video Series
Camp Katina Implemented a 10-week GET ACTIVE fitness video series to the Strong Women / Strong Girls curriculum. This was a huge WIN to be able to reach young girls not only in Miami, but in Pittsburgh and Boston as well. Educating young girls about healthy eating and exercise is important in building a healthy body and mind. Empowering and inspiring young girls to start making healthy choices now so that health and fitness becomes a part of their lifestyle is part of Camp Katina’s mission.

ProCamps Worldwide
Camp Katina expanded it’s efforts by partnering with ProCamps Worldwide and Katina Taylor directed cheer camps for Miami Heat's Dwayne Wade, Dallas Cowboy’s Jason Witten, Washington Redskins’ Chris Cooley, Cincinnati Bangals’ AJ Green and directed two Super Bowl Camps hosted by Garth Brooks in New Orleans and Yankee’s Stadium in New York City.

Dig Deeper
Dig Deeper was founded to impact more youth through the love of sports and physical activity. This beach volleyball camp is served by Zoe Taylor and powered by Camp Katina. Campers will learn the fundamentals of beach volleyball and engage in games while being motivated to DIG DEEP to be their best authentic self. This camp date is to be determined between July and August 2022.
